The DAFNE project just held its first Negotiation Simulation Lab (NSL) session for the Zambezi basin. The NSL was held from 11-12 September in Lusaka, Zambia. The NSL session welcomed stakeholders representing the Lunsemfwe sub-basin in Zambia and Luia sub-basin in Mozambique.
The objective of the NSL session was to share and gather your input on water, energy and food-related issues, particularly in the case study areas of the Lunsemfwe (Zambia) and the Luia (Mozambique) sub-basins. The meeting also served to demonstrate how the DAFNE project intends to build the capacity of stakeholders to visualize these issues and their solutions in the basin and develop scenarios and pathways to sustainable resource use. The approaches used and tools developed in DAFNE ultimately serve to benefit the region and the institutions and organizations directly or indirectly involved in its management.
